Compared to WriteLog Flex driver 12.26, this update only updates to the latest Microsoft and other third party libraries such that it provides installation compatibility with future versions of WriteLog. There is no new functionality, but, in the future, WriteLog installers will reject the older Flex driver installations and insist on this new one.  WlFlexDriver1227B.exe The latest is now WlFlexDriver1227C.exe which installs exactly the same product as 1227B but fixes an installer issue that prevented installing on Win10 systems with certain policy settings.

Remote Control analysis

There is increasing interest in implementing the ability to have an operator man an operating position at a contest station while not being physically present at the controls. The remoting is enabled by the presence of reliable broadband connections at both ends of the link: at the station where the rigs and antennas are (which I will call the remote site) and where the operator happens to be (which I will call the control site.) There is not an ideal or optimal implementation for this use. The design tradeoffs required are different for various remote sites and even each control site.
